Hasan Raza, the senior coach of the Rawalpindi Markhors and a former Test cricketer, is also enthusiastic about the PPL’s future. “The PPL will usher in a new era of cricket,” said Raza. “We will bring forward talent from the grassroots level, offering cricket enthusiasts a chance to witness top-quality performances.”
Raza highlighted the proud cricketing heritage of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, noting that these regions have produced many legendary cricketers for Pakistan. He envisions the Rawalpindi Markhors as a training ground for future national team players. “We aim to turn Rawalpindi Markhors into a nursery for the national team, and within the next few years, a significant portion of the Pakistan cricket team will consist of Rawalpindi Markhors players,” he added.
