The first-ever Superior National Fastest Men and Women Competition is set to take place on October 8, 2024, at Punjab Stadium, Lahore. Brigadier (R) Wajahat Hussain, President of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP), has confirmed that male and female athletes from all over the country are gearing up to compete in what promises to be an electrifying competition. All affiliated departments, provincial, and regional associations have received official invitations to participate, making this a truly national-level event.
Cash Prizes for the Fastest Sprinters
The competition will offer substantial rewards for the top performers. Cash prizes are set as follows:
- 1st Prize: Rs 100,000
- 2nd Prize: Rs 50,000
- 3rd Prize: Rs 25,000
- 4th to 8th Place: Rs 10,000 each
The prize structure ensures that not only the winners but also the runners-up and top-eight finishers will receive recognition and reward for their efforts.
Event Schedule and Registration
Interested athletes must register by October 5, 2024. Participants will report to the Punjab Stadium at 9:00 AM on October 8, where they will complete the registration and scrutiny process. Registration will be supervised by Rafique Ahmad, President of the National Coaching Association, and Ch. Asghar Ali Gill, Head Coach of the AFP. Athletes will need to present their documents to confirm their eligibility.
