The ITF Pakistan J30 Ali Embroidery World Junior Tennis Championships 2024 has brought a wave of excitement to the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex as junior players from around the world compete for glory. The tournament has attracted 47 players, including 28 boys and 19 girls from countries like Hong Kong, Japan, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Canada, Korea, Germany, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Maldives, and Singapore. Adding to the competitive mix are 28 Pakistani players, with 22 boys and six girls showcasing their talent on home soil.
As the championship heads into its final stages, fans are eagerly anticipating Saturday’s finals, which include the Girls Singles, Boys Singles, and Boys Doubles events.
Semi-Final Highlights
Boys Singles
The Boys’ Singles semi-finals witnessed intense battles as Sion Ji of Korea emerged victorious over Pakistan’s Nadir Mirza in a closely fought match. The final score stood at 6-4, 3-6, 7-5, with Ji’s resilience proving decisive in the third set.
In another semi-final, Xiuyuan Guo of China demonstrated remarkable consistency, defeating Pakistan’s Muhammad Talha Khan 6-2, 6-4 to secure his place in the finals.
Girls Singles
The Girls’ Singles semi-finals showcased international talent at its finest. Sri Lanka’s Dianara Di Silava displayed superb form, defeating Korea’s So Yuna in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Kazakhstan’s Karolina Ligai also shone, overcoming Korea’s A Hyun Jo with a commanding performance, ending the match 7-5, 6-1.
Girls Doubles
The Girls Doubles final crowned champions from Korea, with Yeonn Joo Cha and So Yuna pulling off an impressive comeback victory against Japan’s Haruhi Katsube and Hinata Wada.
